Albert Falls Dam

On the Sunday after Jono's party we all went out to Albert Falls Dam for a picnic lunch, before my parents and brother had to fly back home later that evening... Michael and his dad took a dip in the dam, Jono played in the car with Ryan and we just chatted and enjoyed some time together as a family...

Jonathan's Cars Birthday Party

Wow, I can't beleive how quickly time has flown by... My little boy turned 1 on the 17th of March... I marvel at the great blessing he has been to our family and for the great miracle that God has given to us in giving Jonathan to us to raise... Our prayer for him is that he will, even in his young age, know God at work in his life and that Christ would save him at an early age...

We had a Cars themed party for Jonathan at our house which was great fun to plan and to host... We had all sorts of fun decor and snacks, and Jono especially enjoyed all the company... It was a great blessing to be able to have both Michael's and my parents down for the weekend... Jono apparently took his first step when Michael and I were out, but he's still not walking so we're waiting patiently to see him reach this next big milestone...

Catch-up Part 2

Once again my apologies for the delay in updating our blog... On the 15th January we had our induction service at Scottsville Baptist Church which was a great blessing!... Even now just thinking of how God has lead us to serve Him here at Scottsville is just amazing!... It already feels so much like family and we are so privileged to call Scottsville Baptist Church our family!... Both Michael's and my parents, as well as my brother and oma, were able to come down for the induction which was a real blessing...

 After the morning service we had a bring and share lunch at the church, which was a great blessing as well... The photo below is a picture of my parents talking to our new pastor Steve Darch...

We also had the Thompson family stay with us for the weekend of the induction service, and our past pastor Glen preached on the morning of our induction service... They have been such a great blessing to us as a family and we really enjoyed having them stay with us for a short time...

My parents came down for a holiday in Durban the week before the induction service, and invited us to visit them for a day, which was great because it was Jono's first time at the beach... It was also his first time going down a water slide, with his dada of course...

Catch-up Part 1

My apologies for not updating our blog for  quite a while... So I just wanted to give you all a bit of a catch up of what we've been up to since Christmas last year...

 This was Jono having a good time with his funny Uncle Ryan- or YaYa as Jono would say- on Christmas Eve...

 My mom had a whole lot of leftover Christmas decorations grouped together on the floor, which of course Jono discovered and had a ball playing with them...

We were also able to spend some time with our favorite nephew and niece before heading back home to Pietermaritzburg... And Debbie and Roydon too of course...
